So you made the dough. You pre-baked the crusts. You’ve got a stack of beautiful homemade pizza bases just waiting to become something amazing. Now comes the really fun part, the toppings.

Here’s the thing though: I’m not here to tell you what pizza to make. You know your family. You know what they’ll actually eat and what will sit untouched on someone’s plate while they give you the look. Make the pizzas your people love, and make at least one that’s just for you, because yes, sometimes the adults get their own pizza and that is completely valid.
Today I’m sharing our three absolute favorites, plus a few more ideas to get you thinking. And fair warning: the first one is going to sound a little weird. Just trust me.

 Dill Pickle Pizza

IMG

I know. I know! Just hear me out.
This is my personal favorite pizza on the planet. If your family likes pickles at all, they will love this. It has become such a staple in our house that I genuinely get excited every time I pull one out of the freezer. It’s tangy, creamy, a little salty, and completely addictive.
This is the only pizza on the list that has its own sauce recipe, so let’s walk through it.

IMG

The Dill Pickle Sauce

• 1 cup mayonnaise
• 1 cup sour cream
• 4 tablespoons dill seasoning
• 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
• 3 tbsp dill pickle brine
• ½ teaspoon onion powder
• ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Mix everything together until combined. This sauce is creamy, garlicky, and has just the right amount of pickle tang. You might want to make extra. (You’ll want to make extra.)

IMG

The Toppings

• Sliced pickles (one full jar)
• Mozzarella cheese
• Bacon crumbles

How to Assemble

Start by draining your pickles. Empty the whole jar onto a layer of paper towels and let them sit while you prep everything else, you’re not trying to get them bone dry, just taking off most of the excess liquid so your pizza doesn’t get soggy.
Spread your dill sauce generously over your pre-baked crust, then lay down a layer of pickles. I do about 20–25 pickles to cover the bottom, but this is completely a personal preference situation. Top with mozzarella and a generous handful of bacon crumbles. That’s it. Done.
If you are a serious pickle person, add more on top too.

 Supreme Pizza

This one is a crowd-pleaser and the most customizable pizza on the list. I pre-chop all my veggies in advance so assembly goes fast, this is a great place to use up whatever peppers, onions, or mushrooms you already have in the fridge.

IMG

Toppings

• Bell peppers (any color), diced
• Onions, diced
• Mushrooms, sliced
• Olives
• Sausage or pepperoni (or both!)
• Mozzarella cheese
• Your favorite pizza sauce (I use my veggie-loaded pizza sauce)

How to Assemble

Sauce, cheese, then pile on the veggies and meat. Pretty classic!
One important note: this pizza is a little thicker than the others because of all the toppings, so plan to bake it a few extra minutes when you pull it from the freezer to make sure everything is fully heated through.

Hawaiian Barbecue Chicken Pizza

This one belongs to my husband. It is his pizza, his request, and honestly, it’s pretty great.

IMG

Toppings

• Your favorite barbecue sauce (as the base)
• Mozzarella cheese
• Cooked chicken, shredded or diced
• Red onion, sliced thin
• Fresh pineapple
• Cooked bacon

How to Assemble

Swirl your barbecue sauce on the crust, cover with mozzarella, then layer on the chicken, red onion, pineapple, and bacon. The fresh pineapple makes a difference here, I know canned works too, but fresh is sweeter and doesn’t add as much extra moisture.

A Few More Ideas to Mix It Up

• Margherita — just good tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil added after baking

• Meat lover’s — pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and maybe some ham if you’re really going for it

• Buffalo chicken — buffalo sauce as the base, cooked shredded chicken, red onion, mozzarella, and a drizzle of ranch after it comes out of the oven

• White garlic — olive oil and garlic as the base, ricotta, spinach, and mozzarella

• Taco pizza — taco-seasoned ground beef, cheddar, jalapeños, and crushed tortilla chips on top

Wrapping and Freezing Your Pizzas

Make absolutely sure your pizzas are fully cooled before you wrap them. Trapping any warmth in will create condensation and mess with the texture. just let them sit out until they’re completely room temp.

I’ve used two methods and both work:

Plastic wrap — gets the job done, doesn’t cost much, but it’s single use so it creates a little waste.

2 Gallon Ziploc bags — honestly a game changer for me. You can slide the pizza in right on the pan, then when you’re ready to bake, pull the pizza out, give the bag and the pan a good wash, let them air dry, and use them again next time. It’s cut down on so much waste and I’ve been able to reuse the same pans and bags through multiple freezer pizza sessions.
Use what you’ve got, but if you haven’t tried the Ziploc bag method, it’s worth it.

Baking From Frozen

No need to defrost. These cook beautifully straight from the freezer, just like a store-bought pizza,  except, you know, way better.

• Preheat your oven to 425°F

• Pull the pizza out of the bag and off the pan, bake it on a different baking sheet or directly on a pizza stone (this is key for getting the bottom evenly crispy)

• Bake for 25–35 minutes depending on your oven

• Want it extra crispy? Leave it in a little longer, it can handle it

Pull it out, slice it up, and watch it disappear.

There you have it,  three family-tested freezer pizza combinations, a handful of ideas to make them your own, and everything you need to get them from your freezer to the table on even the most hectic weeknights. Drop a comment below and tell me which topping combo you’re trying first. (And if you try the dill pickle one, I need to know.)
